Pet Care and Protection

They may be fur babies, but they’re your babies all the same. That’s why we offer benefits to help ensure your four-legged loved ones are always protected and cared for. Keep in mind that CSL's pet backup care and pet insurance services are for dogs and cats only.

Pet Backup Care Highlights

You have access to two services that can help you care for your furry BFF.

Through Care@Work, our backup child and elder care provider, you can book background-checked pet caregivers specializing in dog walking, boarding, doggy day care and drop-in care. Just follow these four steps to use your backup care benefit:

  1. Log in to your Care@Work account. (Note: You must access your pet backup care benefit through the Care@Work website. This benefit is not available through the app.)
  2. Under Backup Care, select Pet Backup Care.
  3. Swap one eligible backup care day for your $150 online credit with Rover.
  4. Go to Rover.com to create an account, book services and apply your credit at checkout.

EmployeeCare is a work-life services program affiliated with Lyra, our mental health benefit provider. Through EmployeeCare, you can arrange pet walking, sitting and boarding services. To get started, call 888-254-8103 and give the Employee Care Resource Counselor your access code: Lyra-CSL Behring.

Things to Consider

When deciding whether to enroll in pet insurance, be sure to consider the following:

  • Cost. Your cost of coverage is based on the policy you select as well as the type of pet, breed, age and spayed/neutered status. You can customize your plan by choosing your reimbursement percentage, deductible and annual maximum.
  • Your pet’s needs. Does your pet need regular veterinary care? Are you paying a lot of money out of your pocket for veterinary care? If you answered yes to either question, having pet insurance could give you peace of mind.
  • Flexibility. Because you can add or drop coverage at any time, it’s easy to make a change if the need arises.
